Proximity Creates Value – Laser 2000 Positions Itself as a European System Partner for Photonics
Wessling, May 2025. Laser 2000 announces the establishment of Laser 2000 AB in Stockholm, a wholly owned subsidiary of Laser 2000 GmbH. With this expansion, the company underscores its commitment to providing even stronger local support to customers and suppliers across Europe – ensuring tailored solutions and faster response times in key markets.
A core pillar of Laser 2000’s strategic realignment is the consistent decentralization of its sales operations. By positioning teams directly within their respective regions, the company is strengthening customer proximity, accelerating responsiveness, and sharpening its focus on application-driven solutions. “By being closer to the customer, we not only improve communication but also gain early insight into market developments and can respond proactively,” explains Marcel Pabst, Managing Director of Laser 2000 GmbH.
The recent establishment of new subsidiaries in Sweden (Laser 2000 AB) and Italy (Laser 2000 SRL) reflects this customer-centric strategy. Combined with long-standing operations in France, Germany, the UK, and the Benelux countries, Laser 2000 has become one of the most comprehensive and established photonics distribution networks in Europe.
"The Nordics and the Baltic region are currently showing especially strong momentum," adds Marcel Pabst. "By opening our Stockholm office and appointing Julia Matthes – an experienced photonics specialist – as Sales Manager for Nordics & Baltics, we are deliberately investing in regional expertise and strengthening our customer engagement on the ground."
With this expanded European structure, Laser 2000 is well-positioned to continue driving innovation and delivering high-quality, application-specific photonics solutions to customers across the continent.
