Customized diode lasers/devices (GaAs/GaN) - chips, modules, prototypes
The Ferdinand-Braun-Institut (FBH) is an application-oriented research institute in the fields of high-frequency electronics, photonics, and quantum physics. We research and realize electronic and optical components, modules, and systems based on compound semiconductors. High-power diode lasers with excellent beam quality, UV LEDs, and hybrid laser modules are developed from the infrared to the ultraviolet spectral range. Applications include medical technology, high-precision metrology, and sensors as well as optical communications in space and integrated quantum technology. For pulsed lasers, used e.g. in LiDAR, material processing, and analytics, we also develop the corresponding high-speed laser drivers.
