Company profile
The Fraunhofer ISIT in Itzehoe is one of the most modern research facilities for microelectronics and microsystems technology in Europe. The clean room facilities enable both research and industrial microchip production. With 180 scientists, ISIT works closely with industrial partners to develop power electronics components and microsystems for use in medicine, environmental technology, communications technology and the automotive industry. One focus is on optical microsystems, such as vector scanners and MEMS scanners, which are used for laser projection displays, LIDAR systems and optical telecommunications. ISIT pursues the vision of creating innovative solutions with social relevance and integrating them into everyday life.
