Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology is the only national university in Japan that consists of Faculties of Agriculture and Engineering. In 2024,we will celebrate its 150th anniversary.

We present here are a coherent Raman microscopy technique that enables nondestructive, non-contact imaging of small molecules such as drugs in living organisms. This technology can capture the spatial distribution and time variation of even small molecule drugs existing at low concentrations in cells and tissues using a unique optical pulse shaping technology, contributing to the research and development of new medicines and cosmetics, and to the quality evaluation of food products and materials.
