Mapsi is changing the way WWIR and LWIR filters are made. We simplify the design by avoiding the use of layers, as opposed to the multilayer technology. How we do it? By drilling nanometric holes in a silicon substrate. That simple! What's more, Mapsi's filters are manufactured in Barcelona using a chemical treatment that reduces consumption during the manufacturing process compared to the more energy-intensive of multilayers. Thanks to be all-silicon, we are intrinsically more robust, we improve the optical response (f.e. we reduce angle dependency and reflections and achieve high transmissions) and we avoid the use of rare materials, such as germanium, which are subject to geostrategic changes.
Our products are suitable to be used in thermal cameras, pyrometers and NDIR gas sensors.
